1. Identification and exploration of experiences and applied methods of exploitation and dissemination in past RTD projects. This stage will focus on the identification of significant factors influencing the exploitation and dissemination process. In order to explore possible methods of dissemination and exploitation at this stage key and meaningful information and data will be gathered from past and ongoing RTD projects.

WP1 Identification of Benchmark Projects – this work package consists of a series of tasks, the implementation of which will enable the mapping and benchmarking of the dissemination and exploitation actions of RTD projects involving SMEs.

WP2 Exploration of Factors – a questionnaire-based survey will be carried out during this work package. The target group of the survey will consist of RTD performers and projects identified during WP1. Analysis of the results of this survey will enable the consortium to identify those factors that influence the success of dissemination and exploitation efforts.

2. An effective methodology for the Dissemination and Exploitation of RTD

results. This stage involves one Work Package (WP3) which is focused on drawing up a useful, comprehensive and practical Best Practice Manual in the area of effective methodology for the dissemination and use of European R&D results.

3. Exchange of best practices – Use&Diffuse Events. This stage will focus on the exchange of good practices in dissemination and exploitation. During the implementation of this stage a comprehensive series of events will be organised comprising both seminars and study visits. Beneficiaries of the events will have the opportunity to develop improved strategies for the effective exploitation of their RTD results.

II component: USEandDIFFUSE – Dissemination

A specific work package has been established in order to ensure that efficient communication between the project consortium and a wider audience of European stakeholders from the project target group (Hi-Tech SMEs, RTD performers, project involving SME, European Technology Platforms, Research Driven Clusters, others)

WP5 Dissemination of the Project results. This WP will:

- deliver a common web platform, which will represent a powerful dissemination tool and a highly effective meeting place that will become synonymous with best practice in the area of RTD dissemination and exploitation during FP7.

- establish contact and exchange of information with users of the project results,

- ensure sufficient and effective publicity about the project and diffusion of its results and deliverables.
